Within 3 months of preparation, approx. 250 volunteers were responsible for security, practical implementation, food service and welcoming dancing participants and guests of honor with great joy. Around 2,300 participants attended this event, consisting of children as well as young people, adults and the elderly.
Mayor Marianne Borgen (Oslo Mayor), Erna Solberg (ex prime minister), Andreas Meeg-Bentzen (Frp), Christine Lager Nesje (representative from cancer society) as well as a representative from the Indian embassy and lastly, former ambassador Debraj Pradhan were among the guests of honor who were greeted by a sea of colorful costumes and smiling people. Overwhelmed guests mentioned that such events resonate positive energy in Oslo and contribute to making the autumn colors even more vivid. "Thank you to the Indian community for sharing your culture and hospitality and thank you for everything you contribute to Norwegian society." - said Erna Solberg in her speech.
Mayor Marianne Borgen said that she appreciates the work done as part of Sewa initiatives.
Andreas Meeg-Bentzen said that he hopes to see more such sewa projects in the future.
